"It's been a real pleasure partnering with Oddity. It's clear that Lizzy is an exemplary events professional and she has recruited top talent for her team at Oddity."
Lizzy has over a decade of experience in event management. Lizzy works primarily with organisations who wish to use events for campaigning and lobbying to politicians and policy-makers in order to influence public policy.
After graduating with a BA Hons degree in Event Management with Marketing from the University of Greenwich in 2010, Lizzy began her career at a medical association, delivering scientific conferences and workshops in the UK and Europe. After this, she worked as an event operations specialist at Informa Group, where she was responsible for the successful delivery of events for up to 8,000 attendees.
In 2013 Lizzy took a side-step to gain agency experience and spent almost five years at a prestigious communications consultancy, Portland Communications, where she built the commercial events offering and ran a small team of events and marketing specialists. While at Portland, Lizzy advised some of the most recognised global organisations on their event projects, including AkzoNobel, Apple, Google, Facebook and McDonalds.
After progressing to senior level as Head of Events & Marketing, Lizzy left Portland in 2018 to start Oddity. Since then, Oddity has received numerous industry awards including Conference News' award for Best Start-Up Agency and the Meetings Industry Association award Outstanding Team of the Year, both in 2020.
In 2021 Lizzy was recognised in C&IT magazine's Agency A-List, which is an exclusive selection of the top 35 under 35 agency-side event planners in the UK.
