The brief
To support Strava on the launch of their first brand partnership event. The aim was to bring their current and prospective clients together for a morning of networking, presentations, and a panel discussion. Oddity supported with venue finding, AV production, event logistics and operations, branding and on-site management.
Our approach
As with all events, we took Strava through our four-phased approach by defining scope, project management and planning, on-site support, and feedback with recommendations.
With the given brief, Oddity set about finding a modern, chic venue with a capacity of up to 60 which would appeal to a media audience. For this event, we contracted Menier Venues - Penthouse located in London Bridge which provided the perfect backdrop for Strava and was easily accessible for the guests.
The venue boasted views across some of the most iconic spots of London, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, soft lounge seating, and modern limewashed walls. To enhance the branding in the room, we installed Strava logo vinyls which were applied to numerous windows and walls in the space. The contrast of the orange logo on the millennial pink walls allowed the branding to stand out.
The original attendee goal was 30, however, due to popular demand, the client increased this to 60 through the planning phase. With the increase in numbers, all guests needed to be able to hear around the room and engage with the speakers easily. At this stage, we brought in our AV partners, Carby & Co. to help elevate the sound system and provide crisp audio around the room.
Throughout the process, we provided Stava with guidance for event best practices, attendee management, speaker and supplier management, and logistics so that Strava could focus on content and messaging.
The result
The result was a huge success with a full house and a seamless production from our partners. Each attendee left with a better insight into Strava, a handful of goodies, and new connections. Strava was able to connect and develop relationships with their partners for future collaboration and develop an event strategy based on the successful delivery of this event.
